Does anyone remember The Sims?
It’s a life-simulation game where players create and control virtual characters, guiding their daily activities, building relationships, and climbing the career ladder.
It was one of the most popular PC games in the early 2000s (at least where I grew up).
I was focused on turning my virtual character into a raving success—building deep, meaningful relationships, maintaining a head-turning physique, learning new skills, and working towards financial freedom—all while keeping up with household chores.
Then, as I was hustling to level up my character, he walks over to his PC and starts wasting time on computer games!
The audacity.
That’s when the lightbulb went off, and soon after, I traded playing computer games for reading books.
It took a computer game to snap me out of my gaming addiction.
Moral of the story? Use the time you have been given to level yourself up.
