The Second Law of Thermodynamics states that the state of entropy of the entire universe, as an isolated system, will increase over time.
Entropy is a measure of uncertainty. It means that over time, disorder is more probable than order.
In other words… everything within a system moves towards a state of chaos, if this system is left to its own devices.
The only way to violate the Second Law of Thermodynamics and to prevent entropy is to keep pouring energy into the system to bring order.
It’s easy to let your life go off the rails.
Just do nothing and wait a couple of months. You’ll see how fast life crumbles around you.
Relationships fade unless you make the effort to nurture these relationships. You’ll lose everything you own if you don’t take care of your finances. Your physical and mental health will fall apart if you don’t take care of yourself.
Energy is the key to keep everything together, and to bring order where there’s disorder.
Make sure to always pour a tremendous amount of energy into the things that matter to you.
Once chaos is started, it can be hard to stop things going from bad to worse.
Why is disorder more probable than order? With effort, men can build a house (order) from rubble (disorder). However, it’s unlikely the rubble will organize and form a house by itself. On the other hand, leave a house by itself and it will eventually turn into rubble by itself. When left to its own devices, everything that is ordered will eventually turn into disorder.
