The Branch That Blocked The Road.

T

Freedom comes with responsibility, the responsibility to take matters in your own hands and give your life positive direction.

The problem is that when you fail to do so, there’s no-one left to blame but yourself. And that’s why freedom can be intimidating.

It means admitting you are the one who is 100% responsible for the situation you’re in.

And what you’ll notice, is that the people who fear this responsibility will often start to raise limits to their own freedom. This is often formulated as ‘I can’t do X, because of Y’ – X being their ideal situation and Y never being themselves.

They’ll see a branch on the road and tell themselves…

“Well, that’s it! The road is blocked… this is the reason why I can’t succeed. It’s not me!”

But it is them.

In a free society, you are 100% responsible to move the branch that is blocking your road, you are 100% responsible to find a way around it.

In a free society, your own day-to-day decisions will make or break your success in life.
