Live Life For You. Or Regret It Later.

L

It’s often mentioned as the number 1 regret of people on their deathbed: having lived a large part of life up to the expectations of others (source).

What is left of life, if all you want is to be liked by everyone and avoid trouble? Probably not much!

Life is precious and you only get to live it once.

You live for you.

If you don’t give your life direction, others will do it for you. They won’t always have your best interest at heart, and if they do – you’ll know best what makes you happy. Make your own plan.

You live for you.

If someone has a problem with that, that’s their problem. Don’t get frustrated if someone disagrees with your choices. It’s NOT your problem, so don’t let it become your problem.

You live for you.

Surround yourself with the people who love you for who you are.
Return the favour.

You live for you.

Make it a life worth living. A story worth telling.

You live for you.

But lift others up in the process, whenever you can. Because the lives of others are just as precious as yours.
