Labels: When Self-Perception Becomes Reality.

L

Labels are powerful.

  • Tell yourself you’re bad with names, and you’ll unconsciously allow yourself to forget a name as soon as you hear it.
  • Tell yourself you’re unorganized, and your brain will use it as an excuse to not prepare to the best of your capability.
  • Tell yourself you’re unattractive, and your body language will make you look less attractive.

Be careful what labels you stick on yourself, and what labels you’ll let other people stick on you.

The perception of yourself is destined to become your identity. In other words: you’ll become what you repeatedly tell yourself you are.

Reject labels that limit you. Use labels that empower you.

Tell yourself you’re adventurous.

Tell yourself you’re intelligent.

Tell yourself you’re proud of what you’ve accomplished.

Change your narrative, to change your destiny.
