Anxiety is helped into this world by none other than the person who is experiencing the anxiety.
Anxiety might get triggered by something external, but the reaction comes from oneself. And that reaction is preventable.
Anxiety is entirely built on expectations of the future, often based on what has been experienced in the past (whether you remember it or not). Anxiety is the fear of negative expectations being met, or positive expectations not being met.
And if anxiety is built on expectations of what might come, the antidote for anxiety is built on appreciation of what is now.
In one word: gratitude.
Practice it every hour of the day, and – over time – you’ll find that anxiety will be reduced significantly.
